EU forwarding address

An EU forwarding address, in Cyprus

Cyprus has been a member of the EU since 2004, inside its customs union and VAT area, and pays in euro. To a shop in France, Germany, Italy or Spain, an address in Limassol is an EU delivery like any other: no customs, no export paperwork, the EU delivery rate. Open a free account, give your Limassol suite address at the checkout, and we forward your orders to wherever you live.

What makes it an EU address

It is a real street address in the Republic of Cyprus, an EU member state. Goods move to it from any other EU country without a customs declaration, the way they move from Lyon to Milan. You pay at the checkout what any EU customer pays, VAT included, and the shop ships it as a European order.

  • EU member since 2004, euro since 2008
  • Inside the EU customs union: no customs between an EU shop and us
  • Inside the EU VAT area: the shop treats you as an EU customer
  • A commercial street address with your own suite number, not a PO box

When an EU address in Cyprus is the right one

When the shop delivers across the EU but not to the country you live in. That is common: plenty of European shops list every EU country at the checkout and stop there, and plenty of marketplace sellers do the same.

  • You live outside the EU and the shop will not ship to you
  • You want several European orders combined into one box before the long leg
  • You live in the Middle East: from Cyprus, Israel, Lebanon and the Gulf are short hops
  • You shop Greek or Cypriot stores, which deliver to Cyprus as a matter of course

When you need an address in that country instead

If a shop delivers only within its own country, it will not deliver to Cyprus, and no EU address outside that country helps. Small independent shops, supermarkets and anything delivered by the retailer's own van often work this way. Before you buy, find Cyprus in the shop's list of delivery countries. If it is there, our address works; if it is not, you need an address in the shop's own country.

Taxes: what an EU address changes and what it does not

Your order is an EU sale, so its price includes EU VAT, just as for any European customer, and that VAT is not refunded when we send the parcel on outside the EU. Your own country then charges its import duty and taxes on arrival. Neither is part of our price.

Questions

Is Cyprus really in the EU?
Yes. The Republic of Cyprus joined the EU in 2004 and the euro in 2008, and is inside the EU customs union and VAT area. Our address is in Limassol, in the Republic.
Will European shops deliver to Cyprus?
Most shops that deliver across the EU do, and Cyprus is in their list of delivery countries. Some charge a little more than for mainland countries, because it is an island at the far end of the EU; the checkout shows you before you pay.
Is it a virtual address or a PO box?
Neither. It is a commercial street address with a warehouse behind it. Parcels are weighed, measured and photographed when they arrive, and you see them in your account.
How long will you hold my orders?
30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, so orders from several European shops can arrive, be combined and go to you as one box.
Do you handle letters?
No, parcels only. We do not open, scan or forward letters.
