Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Ship From Cyprus: the address we give you in Limassol, the parcels we receive on your behalf, and the shipments and freight we arrange for you.

01Who we are
Ship From Cyprus is a parcel and freight forwarding service operating from Limassol, Cyprus. You can reach us at hello@shipfromcyprus.com.
“We” and “us” mean Ship From Cyprus. “You” means the person who holds the account. By opening an account or having goods sent to a suite we have issued you, you accept these terms.
02What the service is
We give you a street address in Limassol with a suite number unique to you. We receive parcels addressed to that suite, hold them, carry out the services you request, and forward them to an address you nominate. For consignments too large for a courier we arrange air or sea freight.
We act as your agent. We are not the seller of the goods, we are not party to your contract with the retailer, and we do not inspect goods for quality, fitness or authenticity. Disputes about what you bought are between you and the retailer.
03Your account and suite
One suite number is issued per account. You must give accurate details and keep them current — the name on your account appears on your shipping address and on customs paperwork, so it must match the identification you would use to collect a parcel.
Your suite number must appear on every order you send to us. A parcel that arrives without it goes into an unidentified queue, and if we cannot match it we may return or dispose of it at your cost. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
Accounts are for your own goods. Using a suite to run a commercial import operation, to receive goods for third parties, or to disguise the origin of goods is not permitted without our written agreement.
04Parcels we accept
We accept parcels delivered during warehouse hours by carriers that obtain a signature or leave goods at the address. We record the weight, dimensions and visible condition of each parcel and photograph it on arrival.
We may refuse a parcel that is leaking, damaged beyond safe handling, appears to contain prohibited goods, is not addressed to a valid suite, or carries charges payable on delivery that you have not agreed with us.
05Prohibited and restricted goods
You must not have prohibited items sent to your suite. Our current list is published at prohibited and restricted items and may change as carrier and destination rules change.
Where we find prohibited goods we may refuse, hold, return, dispose of or surrender them to the authorities without compensation, and recover from you any cost, fine or penalty we incur. Restricted goods may be accepted only where the destination and the carrier permit them; ask before you order, not after the parcel arrives.
06Storage and free periods
Each parcel carries a free storage period from the day it is logged in: 30 days on the standard account and 90 days on Premium. After that, storage is charged daily per parcel at the rate shown on our pricing page. Your dashboard shows the date each parcel starts to accrue charges.
Storage is provided in a general warehouse. It is not climate-controlled or secure storage, and it is not suitable for goods that deteriorate.
07Services on your parcels
You may ask us to photograph contents, repack, consolidate several parcels into one, wrap fragile items, remove a retailer invoice, or dispose of a parcel. Prices are on our pricing page and are charged when the work is done.
Repacking and consolidation mean removing original packaging. Where a retailer requires original packaging for a return or a warranty claim, tell us before you request the work — once it is done it cannot be undone, and we are not liable for a warranty or return you lose as a result.
08Quotes, charges and payment
Shipping is quoted before you commit, based on the greater of the actual and volumetric weight of the parcel as packed, and is payable in advance. Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Service and storage charges are billed as incurred.
If a parcel is found to differ materially from the weight or dimensions a quote was based on, or if a carrier applies a surcharge outside our control, we will requote before shipping rather than billing you afterwards.
Charges are in euro and, where Cyprus VAT applies to our services, are stated inclusive of it. We may withhold goods and services while an invoice is overdue.
09Shipping and delivery
You choose the carrier and service from the options we quote. Once we hand a shipment to a carrier, that carrier’s terms, transit times and liability limits apply to the journey.
Transit times we show are estimates for the transport leg. They exclude customs clearance, carrier delays, and any onward domestic delivery at the destination. We do not guarantee a delivery date unless we have agreed one with you in writing.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address and the recipient’s contact details. Charges for redirection, storage or return caused by an incorrect address are yours.
10Customs and your authority to us
By using the service you authorise us to act as your representative for customs purposes in respect of goods we forward for you, including completing and lodging export declarations and postal customs declarations, and communicating with customs authorities on your behalf. We may ask you to confirm that authority separately for a particular shipment.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the description, value, origin and classification of the goods you declare to us. We rely on what you tell us. We will not lodge a declaration we believe to be false, and we may refuse a shipment rather than do so.
You will indemnify us against any duty, tax, fine, penalty or cost we incur because information you gave us was incomplete or incorrect.
11Duties and taxes at destination
Import duty, taxes and clearance charges raised in the destination country are payable by you or the recipient, not by us. Any estimate we show is indicative: thresholds and rates are set by the destination and change without notice.
If a shipment is refused or abandoned at destination, you remain liable for the shipping charges and for any return, storage or disposal cost.
12Title, risk and inspection
We do not take title to your goods. Risk passes to the carrier when we hand a shipment over, and to you or your recipient on delivery.
We may open and inspect any parcel where we reasonably believe it is necessary — to verify contents for a customs declaration, to check for prohibited goods, to assess damage, or where a carrier or authority requires it.
13Our liability
We are liable for loss of or damage to goods while they are in our physical custody where it is caused by our negligence. Our liability in that case is limited to the lower of the actual value of the goods and the cover you purchased under clause 14, and in any event does not exceed the amount you have paid us in respect of the affected parcel.
Once goods are with a carrier, that carrier’s liability regime applies and our role is to help you bring a claim, not to stand in its place. We are not liable for delay, for loss of profit, loss of opportunity or other indirect loss, or for goods we were not told were fragile, unusual or of high value.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
14Declared value cover
Cover against loss or damage in transit is optional and must be bought before the shipment leaves us. It is priced on the value you declare, and that declared value is the ceiling on any claim. Cover is not available for goods on the excluded list — including cash, jewellery, documents and fragile items shipped in original retail packaging.
Claims must be notified to us within seven days of delivery, or of the date delivery was due, and supported by the retailer invoice and photographs.
15Air and sea freight
Freight consignments are quoted individually. Air freight is charged on chargeable weight — the greater of gross weight and volume divided by 6000 — and sea LCL on the greater of cubic metres and tonnes. Quotes state the Incoterm, what is included, and how long they are valid.
Freight services are arranged by us as forwarding agent with airlines, shipping lines and their agents. Rates are subject to space, to carrier surcharges, and to the carrier’s own conditions of carriage, which govern the carriage itself.
16Unclaimed goods and our lien
We have a lien over goods in our possession for all sums you owe us, whether in respect of those goods or any other shipment, and may withhold them until payment.
Where a parcel remains unclaimed 180 days after arrival, or where storage charges have been outstanding for 90 days, we may sell or dispose of it. We will give you at least 14 days’ notice by email first. Proceeds are applied to what you owe, and any balance is held for you.
17Refusal, suspension and closure
We may refuse a shipment, suspend an account or close it where these terms are breached, where we cannot verify who you are, where we are required to by law, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or an attempt to move prohibited goods.
You may close your account at any time. Any goods we hold must be shipped or collected first, and outstanding charges remain payable.
18Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier or port disruption, customs action, extreme weather, conflict, sanctions, epidemic, industrial action or failure of public infrastructure. Where such an event prevents us performing, we will tell you and agree how to proceed.
19Complaints
Email hello@shipfromcyprus.com with your suite number and we will acknowledge within two working days and aim to resolve within fourteen. Claims for loss or damage must follow clause 14.
20Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The current version is always on this page with its revision date. Where a change materially affects you we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and it will not apply to a shipment already quoted and paid for.
21Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you deal with us as a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
