Choosing an address

Forwarding address or PO box?

Both give you somewhere in Cyprus to receive things. They suit very different jobs, and for online shopping from abroad only one of them works.

What a PO box does

A PO box is a locker at a post office where post addressed to it waits for you to collect it. It suits letters and small packets for someone in Cyprus who can call in regularly.

It has limits for shopping. Courier companies generally need a street address and someone to hand the parcel to, and many online checkouts will not accept a PO box at all. Larger parcels may not fit. And if you live abroad, nobody is there to collect anything.

What a forwarding address does

A forwarding address is a real street address with your own suite number, at a warehouse that receives parcels on your behalf. Any shop or courier that delivers in Cyprus can deliver to it.

  • Parcels of any size, from any shop or courier
  • Weighed, measured and photographed when they arrive
  • Stored free for 30 days while you shop
  • Combined and repacked to cut postage
  • Forwarded to you in any of 76 countries

Which one you need

If you are in Cyprus and want somewhere for letters, a PO box is the simpler choice. If you shop online from abroad, or need parcels sent on to another country, you need a forwarding address.

Questions

Can I have a PO box and a forwarding address?
Yes, they do not conflict. Many people keep a PO box for post and use a forwarding address for online orders.
Will a shop deliver to my suite address if it refuses PO boxes?
Yes. A suite address is a street address, which is what those checkouts ask for.
Do you handle letters?
We are set up for parcels from shops and couriers. For regular letters, a PO box or a mail-handling service is the better fit.
