For Cypriots and families abroad
Order from Cyprus, wherever home is now
Most Cypriot online shops only deliver on the island. With a Limassol forwarding address you order from them like any local customer, and we send it on to you in the UK, Greece, Australia or anywhere else we ship.
The shops that stop at the coast
The things people miss are rarely sold abroad: Greek-language books, the IKEA Cyprus range, Jumbo's toys and seasonal goods, a particular brand of Cyprus coffee. The shops that sell them deliver within Cyprus and stop there.
Your forwarding address is inside that delivery area. Order online, choose home delivery, and the parcel comes to our warehouse in Limassol instead of to a relative's door.
Without asking family to queue at the post office
Plenty of people already do this through a cousin with a car. It works until the parcel is bigger than expected, the queue is long, or the family are away. A forwarding address takes it off their hands: we receive it, weigh and photograph it, and post it properly packed.
The same works for things you already own: clothes left behind, documents, a box of books. Whoever has them sends them to your suite address inside Cyprus, and we take it from there.
Gifts and food from home
Carob syrup, loukoumi, herbs, Cyprus coffee and dry goods travel well. Some things cannot go at all, and it depends on where you live.
- Dairy and meat, including halloumi and lountza, are refused by many countries outside the EU.
- Alcohol, including Commandaria and zivania, is prohibited by post and restricted by couriers.
- Glass jars travel, but ask for fragile wrap. It costs less than a broken box.
Collect several orders, send one box
Parcels wait with us free for 30 days, so you can order from three shops over a fortnight and send everything together. Postage costs most for the first kilo, so one box is much cheaper than three.
Questions
- Can I order from IKEA Cyprus and have it sent to the UK?
- Yes. Order on the IKEA Cyprus site with your Limassol suite address, and we forward it to the UK once it arrives. Large furniture over 30 kg goes as freight rather than by post, and we quote that separately.
- Can you send halloumi?
- Usually not outside the EU: many countries refuse dairy imports by post. Within the EU it can travel, but it is perishable and the post is not refrigerated, so we would advise against it.
- Do my family in Cyprus need to do anything?
- No. The parcel comes straight to us from the shop, and we deal with it from there.
