Buy from Slovenian stores and ship to Moldova

Why people use a Cyprus address for this

Slovenia is small but well connected to the Italian and Austrian logistics network, so transit is better than distance suggests.

Moldova is reached overland from the EU for postal traffic, which is why the postal band runs longer than the map suggests.

A typical Slovenia to Moldova shipment

Say you order books from Big Bang, then two more things from Big Bang a couple of days later, and they arrive as three separate boxes. All three land at your Limassol suite inside 5–10 days. Left as they are, those three retail boxes bill as roughly 21.6 kg of volumetric weight on the leg to Moldova — because carriers charge for the size of the box, not what is in it.

From there it is 4–10 working days by express or 8–21 working days by post to Moldova, plus clearance. Consolidation costs €5 per extra parcel merged in and repacking €6 — on this lane that is usually recovered several times over.

Questions

Can I really buy from Slovenia and have it delivered in Moldova?

Yes. You get a Limassol street address with your own suite number, use it at a Slovenian retailer's checkout, and we forward the parcel on to Moldova. The retailer only ever ships domestically or within the EU, which is usually the cheap part.

How long does it take?

Two legs. 5–10 days for the retailer to reach our warehouse, then 4–10 working days by express or 8–21 working days by post to Moldova. Customs clearance at the far end sits on top of that.

What does it cost?

Opening the account is free and you pay only when you ship. The price depends on the weight, size and service: the shipping calculator gives the figure for Moldova in seconds, and your quote shows the full price before you pay, with nothing added at checkout.

Will I pay duty in Moldova?

Possibly — import duty and taxes are charged by Moldova's customs, not by us, and the thresholds change. We show an estimate before you pay rather than guessing. Personal allowances are low and duty is applied consistently above them.

Can I combine several Slovenian orders into one shipment?

That is the part that saves the most money. Carriers bill on volumetric weight, so three half-empty retail boxes can cost far more than one packed properly. Leave the parcels with us and we consolidate them before the onward leg.
